Team Creation and Divisions

Building teams:When building teams we try and build teams that have players of similiar skills, ages and experience levels on each team, while keeping groups of players that have requested to play together. If we deem players or a group are too strong for an age category they may be moved up an age category to maintain balance amongst teams within the division.

There are typically enough players registered to have at least 4 teams in each age category.
However, if we do not, we may extend the age catories to achieve this. It is possible that we combine 3 birth years to make a new division. If needed, we would combine to age categories (example U9/U11 combined and teams built accordingly)

- Complete online registration and payment (you will not be placed on a team without payment)
- The league will notify you via email (7-10 days after registration deadline) on how to find your team and schedule
(See above for registration deadline)

If you have never registered in our leagues before, please review "How to Register" at the bottom before clicking the registration button

2. GROUP (2 or more players) - Playing with Friends
IF YOU ARE REGISTERING A GROUP - YOU MUST READ  ALL OF THIS BEFORE REGISTERING

Section  #1 and #2  explains group sizes and rules for "elite" larger groups
Section # 3 explains How to properly register to ensure you all end up on the same team.

Section 1: Rules for Larger "Elite" Groups (3 or more)
- The league will guarantee 3 players will be able to play together; However, it is quite possible that large groups will be allowed to play together, this will  be dependant on skill set of the group vs other registrants, the goal is too create parity amongst the teams within the division.
- We will not be able to determine if a group is an elite group until after the registration deadline (7-10 days) when teams are being created.

If the league deems you an Elite Large Group, there are still options to stay together.

Section #2: Options for large "Elite" groups
"Elite" is a relative term, it si basically the strength of the group vs others that are registered.

Option #1 : elite group may be asked to remain in age category/division and divide into groups of 2 or 3 players per group
(example: 9 player group asked to split into 4 and 5 or 3 groups of 3)
- In the event this occurs in the oldest division, it is likely a split will occur, especially in a mixed age category division.

Option #2:  Large or small group may be asked to move into older age category to be able to stay together.
*Please note that we reserve the right to limit group size to create parity among teams
* If we design teams to start the season and the teams are not balanced, player movement amongst teams may occur.

Section # 3 - How to Register As a Group to be put on the same team

1. Prior to registering choose one person as the group rep, you will use that person's full name during your registration process.

2. During the online registration process, there is a "Group Representative" box.
Everyone in your group, including the group representative, must put that players full name in the "Group Representative" box.
* This is the only way we can identify players that are wanting to play together*
(please review "Important Info for Online Registration" below)

Example: Sidney Crosby, Connor McDavid and Connor Bedard all want to play together
1. They choose Sidney Crosby as the "Group Representative"
2. They all register individually. During the online registration process they all put Sidney Crosby in the
"group representative box"
Note: Sidney Crosby (the chosen group rep) will also put "Sidney Crosby" is the group representative box during his registration process.
